A Wakefield Research PR survey for David’s Bridal received great media attention this week on MSNBC.com. The study finds that today’s brides are no longer basking in the spotlight for pictures and snapshots immediately after the ceremony – they’re glued to Facebook in order to announce their recently changed relationship status.

Nearly half (49%) of recently married or engaged women update their Facebook relationship status between the ceremony and the reception. Clearly, brides cannot wait to share their news with friends.
