David’s Bridal recently released their fifth-annual “What’s on Brides’ Minds” survey. The results of the study, conducted by Wakefield Research, shows the exceptional role that social media plays on a bride’s “big day”.  Nearly half (48%) of brides update their Facebook status or name within a day of taking their vows.  We’re sure their new spouses “like” that.

When it comes to dance moves, it looks like JK Wedding had the right idea – 44% of brides are interested in doing something like a choreographed dance down the aisle to get their special day on YouTube.

Within hours of being released, these statistics were immediately covered by blogs and news sites across the web, which just goes to show – good statistics travel fast.
