The social fitness trend is having its moment. And here at Wakefield Research, we’re proof that this trend has some legs – literally. On September 1st we passed out wearable fitness trackers to staff for a fun 4-week step challenge.
With everyone randomly assigned to a walking team, it’s easy to use our phone apps to count the average number of steps per team. 10-thousand steps is a daily goal for each team member, and we’re definitely walking more. If you stop by, don’t be surprised to find us walking in circles during a conferences call, or marching down the hallway instead of calling a co-worker’s phone extension.
The Wakefield walking teams are competitive – so there’s no early favorite. One thing we know for sure – the winner is bound to have better legs by the end of September.
