How do parents know if their teenagers are having age-appropriate social media experiences? A new custom PR survey from Wakefield Research and Meta, of 1,000 U.S. parents of teens aged 13 to 17, found 32% of parents who are at least somewhat aware of Instagram protections believe they are making beneficial decisions about their teen’s social media use. The survey findings are featured in Fox Business and also reveal that 26% of caregivers who are 45 and older find it hard to talk to their teen about social media because “it doesn’t seem like a big deal,” compared with 18% of younger parents.
