It is a problem parents face every year – how to get the kids to bed early on New Year’s Eve.
Many have tried changing clocks, throwing fake parties and even tuning in to TV stations on the other side of the world.
However, Netflix now has a hi-tech solution- an on demand New Year’s Eve show for kids that can be played at any time.

More than a third of U.S. parents (34%) admitted to starting the party early to fool their kids into thinking it’s midnight, citing their kid’s or their own bedtime as the reason, a recent survey from Wakefield Research on behalf of Netflix.
22% would go as far as to stage a countdown of their own, the team found.
To make the problem easier, Netflix in 2014 commissioned a special show starring King Julien, star of DreamWorks Animation’s All Hail King Julien.
The animated lemur will host his very own kid-sized countdown “special” on Netflix that families can use to ring in the new year whenever they choose to celebrate.
The three minutes of high-energy, music-filled fun that lets kids celebrate the New Year no matter the time of day.

According to new research from Netflix, more than half of parents around the world (58%) would jump at the chance to put their kids to bed before the clock strikes twelve on New Year’s Eve.
Parents in the US, UK, Canada and Australia agree 9 p.m. is the new midnight.
Nearly half of parents in these countries say they’d countdown those famous 10 seconds by 9 p.m. (49%).
A report earlier this year revealed Netflix to be the leader in peak traffic in North America, with a slight increase from an earlier study.
It also shows how people would rather watch Netflix than go through the hassle of downloading pirated content.

While Netflix increased in popularity, the study also found that the once popular BitTorrent is steadily declining as streaming becomes increasingly common.
The site now makes up less than 4.4 per cent of total peak traffic.
Overall, video and audio streaming dominated downstream traffic across the region, accounting for more than 70 per cent of peak period downstream bytes.
