Question: Why do we celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Wakefield Research? Answer: Because we like any excuse to put on miniature plastic sombreros and drink margaritas together.

On May 5th the Wakefield team took a break from market research to celebrate Mexico’s 1862 defeat of the French – with festive drinks, guacamole and a piñata. At some point we got so attached to our Cinco de Mayo piñata we gave him a name and a medical degree: Dr. Richard Jones.  Of course, once he had a name we didn’t have the heart to break open Dr. Jones’ papier-mâché back. The Wakefield piñata was granted a last-minute reprieve, once we carefully removed the candy. Feliz Cinco de Mayo – until next year.
