Generative AI, such as ChatGPT, may make the application process easier for the new wave of job seekers, but a significant number of hiring professionals say its use is a dealbreaker, according to a custom PR survey by Wakefield Research.

Mashable wrote about the Wakefield Research survey on behalf of iCIMS, which found 39% of employers would reject job candidates for using ChapGPT or other AI bots to write their resumes.

iCIMS Chief Technology Officer Al Smith was quoted  in the article, saying that generative AI has the potential to make communication between employers and job candidates even more productive.
