This is likely driven by pressures around appearance, safety, and future expectations in a rapidly changing world. Experts point to the need for stronger mentorship and support systems, especially as most girls (85%) prioritize accomplishments over appearance in role models — highlighting a clear opportunity to better nurture confidence.
