Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies Our work is important, but it is only a part of our staff's lives. Through a series of education workshops, recreational retreats, and charity events, we incentivize our team members to improve themselves and their communities. Our staff's favorite charitable organizations include:
Companywide Green Initiative 2010 marks the third year of Wakefield's Companywide Green Initiative (CGI). CGI is an attempt to apply environmentally conscious thinking to our business practices, and to encourage our team members to do the same in their personal lives. A few of last year's accomplishments:
- Significantly reduced paper consumption in all offices by nearly 50 percent.
- Reduced estimated air travel hours by 25 percent, primarily by emphasizing teleconferencing whenever possible.
- Cut electricity usage in all of our offices.
- Inspired nearly fifty percent of our staff to commute via public transportation, on foot, and by bicycle.
In particular, we thank our clients for helping us to meet our company goals, and we're looking forward to surpassing these accomplishments in 2010.
